“I had to order a baby shower cake at the last minute ( previous bakery fell through). I called Beth at Renaissance Specialty Cakes and Desserts. Although she was completely booked up for specialty cakes, she was so kind to squeeze me in and work with me in designing a basic cake that would match the baby shower colors and theme. I was blown away when I picked up the cake! It was anything but basic! It was absolutely beautiful! The cake was also delicious! I can’t wait to order from Renaissance again!”

““What can I say...Beth was very knowledgeable and helpful regarding the design of the cake. She had it ready on time, and was very communicative throughout. Re: the cake itself, it was red velvet, with cream cheese layers, black buttercream with red and blue icing. AND IT WAS DELICIOUS. At a point, I was standing in front of it with a fork and going to town. Even my partner, who isn’t a sweets person, LOVED it. The thing with Beth’s baking, which I really dig, is that her baking style is more European. So it’s not exorbitantly over-sweetened like American desserts typically are.

“Renaissance cakes. I ordered two cakes to share with my family on Thanksgiving. The lemon cake is a triumph, not at all what you would expect. Beth uses a lemon mousse along with a tart lemon curd that is a taste sensation in an incredibly moist cake. If you like lemon you have to try this cake. The second cake was a salted caramel chocolate cake. My granddaughter told me that it is the best chocolate cake she has ever tasted. As she is our chocolate expert I think that say’s it all. Both cakes were amazing and I was a hero. Beth is baking genius. I will be ordering for Christmas!”
